hello i’ve just woken up from being asleep for ages because i am fresh back from green man 2023! it was sick, next year you should defo all go, and just like with prima vera here is a write up on all the acts you should check out from the lineup.
this absolute beefcake and his brother rocked my world so hard i got dizzy. it had riffs, it had vocals, it had solos, it had a theramin? and some yoga? and some veryyyyy tight tank tops let me tell you. the set cory hanson played at this years green man ruled so hard i loved it and am defo a fan. you should be too.
okay i need you to picture the scene here a little bit. it was absolutely pouring down, i mean rain sideways, tents flooded, waterproof coats very much no longer so. and out come the three coolest dudes you’ve ever seen in your life. and not only did they transport us to another universe, they did it looking cool as hell the entire time the world absolutely ended courtesy of a welsh storm. i’ve been a big fan of the comety boys for a while, but seeing them live? something happened that night is2g.
this set was so much fun, for the entire time we were boppin our heads back and forth, yelling, hooting, hollering, generally making a nuisance of ourselves and entirely covered in mud. it was awesome and if you get the chance to see this band live i think yyou should because they are so sick.
there comes a point in every festival where you wander in somewhere and, having made good use of the ‘facilities’ that you catch yourself looking around going, what the hell have i wandered into now. that was my experience discovering goat, a band i’d heard of many a time, but never once a) listened to or b) learned anything about. i thoguht they were gonna be some kinda indie band. boy was i wrong. boy was i so so wrong.
gonna be honest, don’t remember much from this set but i do remember it ruled. killer light show, absolutely pumping and everyone was on their a game, clipping are so good and you need to listen to them.
