good day bright and new, welcome to another review where we’ve got a track for you. gonna start each review with a haiku from now on. even though that wasn’t a haiku it was rhyme by circumstance. bet i’d be good at haikus if i' tried them. tell you who isn’t using haikus, this weeks song, meet accidferry, with their rock song stars is all you have. a melancholic and kinda long song with a ton of cool ideas and a video featuring a guy holding a ppsh. yeah that’s right, shout out to you gun nerds on the mailing list.

what i liked! :)

the highlight of this song is by far the riffy section towards 3:30 or so. the counterpointing main riffs big stadium style fills, the build, it’s all cool as hell. honestly this song was kindalosing me a lil by that stage, then boom we’re back baby. landed it with a bang. this is a song that is hella dramatic. we’ve got some balls to the wall vocals going on complete with backing that has this track booming, one leg up on the speaker, flag in hand, giving it stacks. and honestly, that’s where this song is at it’s strengths, with a bit of drama behind it.

what i didn’t like :(

well, while that is where the song is strongest, it is definitely at it’s weakest in most of the quieter bits, which is most of the song. it’s not a loss however, as the song does definitely land some killer moments. but boy does it take a bit to get there. i almost want to say to them like, damn the torpedoes just jump in with these songs, and this one especially.

my drunk opinion :S

it’s back baby, after enough people complained, so we’re getting drunk and listening to this track and let me tell you. what the fuck is going on in this video dude. like, someones getting shot, someone gets married, there’s gas masks? it’s all happening let me tell you.

for fans of :?

so this song definitely sits well within the alt rock genre, but i’m going to steer you towards one slight sub part of alt rock. that sub part being the weird tracks i used to not listen much of becuase the first few seconds lost me and then years later checked out and was like dammit. missed all this cus i’m an idiot. the best example of that for me is blood red summer by coheed and cambria, a song which lost me for years until i actually listened to it, like a damn fool.

should you listen to more :⁉️ 

i’m gonna chalk this one up to if this is your jam, you’ll be all over this, and if not then probs skip. there’s definitely a massive crowd out there for precisely this kind of alt rock with cool riffs and maybe a bit of melodrama, but i think if you’re not squarely in that camp then this isn’t the one for you.
