we've got a banger for you all this week, but we need to make a deal okay? okay, so, this song? on the ol' youtube dot gov? it's got under a thousand views at time of writing. sorry, but that's a joke. this is such a cool pop tune with a vocal that makes me want to give up. so please, check this one out. i want it to top 1000 views from this newsletter because honestly? cynthia by poesy is a c h o o n.

what i liked! :)

this vocal! im sorry but im in love! the vibrato, the growl, the long soaring notes, the whispers, it's all here. a lot of detail, a lot of great technique and all delivered in perfectly natural ways that produce a song that feels as good as it sounds and it's awesome. throw into that the gorgeous bass line that's just popping and locking throughout and you're onto a winner! just cracking stuff. oh, wait, you thought we were done? wrongo, because the strings in this! yes, they are here and they are beautiful.

what i didn’t like :(

not much honestly, i think it's missing a little bit of that professional gluey detail that it's kind of going for, which just some really gentle tone effects would link it all together a bit more.

my drunk opinion :S

this song has great fist clenching potential, many moments for just getting real clenchy, grump, angry etc.

uhm, mika? this is actually like if mika was less camp (a bit) and more like, angry.

should you listen to more?

so, earlier in this review, i made a whole song and dance about this song having under 1k views on youtube. and then i listened to more, as i encourage all of you to do. and goddamn! like, biggest song? 10k views? sorry, but that's just ridic! this artist is awesome as hell and here they are w f all views! it's fucked up! so please, listen to poesy. button below.
