😀 wings of desire - choose a life review

did you choose yours?

hello everyone and welcome back! sorry about no review last week, this lil review writer was deathly ill. thankfully, still kicking and live and alive! and so is this newsletter. we've got a great indie track for you this week, it was meant to be last weeks but, sick. we won't have a review next week, instead we'll be dropping a brand new playlist for you all, and then taking a lil break before 2023, our biggest year ever??? we said that last year, and we were right, so who knows, maybe this will be too! see you soon, in the meantime, here's wings of desire with their song choose a life.

click the picture up above to give it a listen!

what i liked! :)

now here is a song that knows how to get right up in the melancholy part of my brain and give everything a good squeeze. from the thundering riffs to the sad inflection of the vocals, it all feels like looking through a window from the outisde in the rain. that's all helped by the fact this song barrels along at a million miles an hour. it's a race that does not let up. the dual vocal sections are a real highlight, building energy with speed and making me want to jump and dance when the chorus drops in.

what i didn’t like :(

i feel like i get lost in this song a little bit, apart from that main vocal hook nothign really lands out as iconic, but then that's probably what they're going for so.

my drunk opinion :S

did i choose a life? a dunno man, a dunno

for fans of

getting strong snow patrol energy here, now there's a name i haven't heard in a while, but yet. there they are. snow patrol were pretty good you know.

should you listen to more?

so this artist doesn't have any other songs out at this stage, but when they do drop more singles i will be v much looking out for them. i think you should too.

more we’ve been listening to

just,,, vast, absolutely vast electronic weirdness

groovy and bloopedy and bleepedy and laden with instruments just having a great time.

the beths know how to just absolutely land that gorgeous, sad but really bumpy and happy indie tune and i love it.

that’s all from us this week! catch you in the next one xo
