😀 joy cleaner - cut my teeth review
what's the worst thing you could say to me right now?
heya gang, sorry for the missed week! someone was enjoying the sun and sights of beautiful croatia, and that someone was me hehehe dw tho, we're back and back at it again with another great wee track for you. introducing joy cleaner with their song cut my teeth, a lo fi indie ballad that honestly gets the feels going quite a bit.
click the picture up above to give it a listen!
what i liked! :)
the lyrics to this song are really very good, and the very, i don't want to say amateurish, cus it's not, but raw and unpolished delivery give it quite a bit of weight. toss on top of that the vocal harmonies and broad array of instruments doing their own thing with a lot of cohesive purpose is raelly great. i've been whistling the hook from this track all eve.
what i didn’t like :(
i didn't feel for the bass tone in this. there's plenty of low end, and that's great, but the lack of bite and heft leaves the high vocals feeling floaty and a bit lost at times. i think when the guitar solo in the bridge comes in and it's so low end heavy it cuts right through but honestly that space should've already been taken up frankly.
my drunk opinion :S
this is the kind of song where i tihnk i know the words but i really don't
