😀 kabel - kick you out review
what do you get when you cross a waltz with pop punk?
like many good things, this weeks review comes with several parts. several extra parts that is, as this is a special episode! not only do we have a very cool song to share with you, which we do don't you worry about that. but we alsoooooo have a whole bunch of cool new stuff to show off. now this is going to be a long one, we've a lot to get through but don't worry! it's all good stuff. buckle up!
but first, new music, that's what we're all about. this weeks review is actually a really underground track, but one i liked quite a lot. it's got some real classics of the genre, not least; a bunch of dudes holding guitars in a stairwell. but don't let that fool you, this tracks banging. it's a indie rock affair with a real shoegaze flavour to it, thick drums and some surprisingly fun vocals.

what i liked! :)
elements of the production here are genuinely really good. the drums for example, have this listful and lazy quality to them that help give this song a strange dreamlike feel i really enjoyed. the heavily treated vocals add to that a lot too. on top of that, the strange structure and long moments of elements holding space really wash out this song in a way i very much like. i imagine this song played incredibly loudly on some festival speakers would sound absolutely banging.
what i didn’t like :(
look im sorry, the high tone guitar with the wailing riffs just does not settle in with the rest of this song, the crunchy tones and heavier bits? excellent but that higher tone, no good.
my drunk opinion :S
im allowed to laugh at a band taking a photo in a stairwell because once upon a time, i too took a photo in a band in a stairwell.
for fans of
this band really reminded me of an early mogwai, like when they were just getting started or something. a few years of development? who knows
should you listen to more?
i told you these guys were underground, they haven't got much more in the way of tracks! tell you what though, if this is their first and they keep this up? they'll be onto something.
more we’ve been listening to
immaculate vibes, immaculate vocals, immaculate song tbh
the fact a song this catchy isn't like, in the top 10 is outrageous
what do you get when you mix a drum set made of pure good times with enough synths to send me into space?
