😀 rosie thorne - you're my future review
you will?
review time! and it's good to be here with another great track for you all to enjoy on this tuesday morn. we've got a vibey drive-soundtrack style electro pop track for you, and i for one am digging it. lots of bleeping and blooping against a jaded drum beat and with some very crisp vocals. check it out, it's called you're my future by rosie thorne!

what i liked! :)
the stilted and relaxed drums in this replete with big tom fills give this song a really vast sound that is hard not to love. complemented by the high arpeggios and big sounding synth repertoire, this is a song that takes those 80s hey-remember-tron sounds but uses them with integrity and without sounding derivitive. on top of that, the soaring vocal lines really lay up a great sound to be bobbing your head to.
what i didn’t like :(
this song feels like it's just devoid of that kind of grabbing hook that makes a song like this aboslutely land. if it had something that was a bit more accessible in the chorus i think this would've taken off like crazy.
my drunk opinion :S
it doesn't feel like a neon drive type song, but it doesn't not feel like one.
for fans of
this is reminding me a lot of alaskalaska, who are really great and also hit that whole '80s synth pop but not cringe' line which i like so much.
should you listen to more?
the other song with artist has released is really really good! highly recommend checking that one out, and also anything else they release because i think there is talent in them there hills.
more we’ve been listening to
i love when songs land the hook on a lil high run in the chorus like weezer
remember mgmt? not like this you don't
