time for something different methinks. here’s a dark little tune with tons and tons of attitude. and helpfully submitted to this here newsletter. you may even have heard it before if you checked out last months submissions playlist! this week, we’re checking out the song escape by tenadina and dentix. it’s moody and bleepy bloopy and quite frankly, sick. so let’s get listening everyone, there’ll be a quiz later!

what i like

this song has soemthing i absolutely adore, and that is unconventional and reverbed tf out heavy drums. it’s always a hit to me! and these ones defo hit hard. they’re quite tasteful too, only adding to the performance with a bit of flair and drama. the full set on those drums work really well too, letting the performer lay a proper beat isntead of just hamming up on a tom. as a backdrop, it sets a tone and boy does that rest of this follow through. i really loveddddd the delicate little synth that hangs around the track and lays out a bit of a hook. i really found it in my head as much as, if not a bit more than, the vocal. so now let’s talk about the vocal. because unfortunately it, absolutely slaps. had you for a second didn’t i. yes, it rules, it’s really really good. the repeated hook not only has earworm qualities, but the way it’s sung and pronounced? it’s like, haunting. it’s like hearing a ghost down a long hallway. and it’s delivered with such high quality of a performance you really get the sense you’re listening to a pro. i absolutely recommend listening to this with some cans on or on a really big, nasty, speaker. the delicateness of that vocal performance, the big drums and the synths that are coming to get u. it all works so well.

what i don’t like

only thing i’d say, which i normally don’t these days, is this one is a touch on the short side. there are some really killer ideas explored in this runtime, but they don’t really develop to a full throated concept, when there’s so much room to explore. it’s a pity, but what’s here works so well

my drunk opinion

is this song mad at me

my drunk opinion

all i could think of listening to this was f, then k, then a and then finally twigs. yes that’s right i said it, it’s a big track, it’s a cool track, and it needs some wild production on a live stage with dancers and metal frames and all that kind of thing. yes please.

this artist has some massive tracks. this is a standout for sure, and it’s a newbie being literally fresh off the presses. but it’s also one of an artist who is really findingt heir feet and developing their sound. long may that continue because the rest of the tracks on display rule.

Hair Dye Causes New Problems. We’ll Fix the Original One.

Hair dye works. That's not the debate. The debate is what it costs you: the box every few weeks, the smell, the roots that give it away, the hairline that starts looking painted instead of real. You fixed the gray and created new problems.

Particle Anti-Gray Serum works differently. It targets the root cause of graying — restoring pigment gradually, naturally, without dye. Hair and beard. Results that look like yours, not like a product. Five seconds a day. Thirty-day money-back guarantee if you don't see a difference.
